Just a reminder to Kindergarten and 2nd grade families-- have your students bring back their books and reading bags tomorrow (and every Friday) for our weekly Book Cart Program! They get to choose 3 new decodable books to borrow for reading practice at home. Practice makes permanent! #GrowingReaders #proudcardinal

3 books on a bag
1st Grade Families:
Please have your 1st grader bring their blue Just Right Reader drawstring backpack to school tomorrow and every Friday! We will be starting the Friday Book Cart Program with your child’s classroom. Previously, 1st graders were sent home with (3) sets of ‘paper-like’ books to read and keep. Starting January 23rd, your child gets to choose 3 brand new decodable books to read and return. Each Friday students will bring their blue bag and 3 books back to school and choose 3 more to borrow. (No worries if you misplaced the blue bag. We have pouches available as replacements.) Don’t forget, there is also a QR code on each book with a phonics lesson that goes along with that specific book. The Friday Book Cart Program was made possible for K-2 students by a grant from MiFamily Engagement Center. #proudcardinal
