The Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights is hosting a Mobile Hiring Combine in Freeland. Contractors will be on site watching participants compete, and you could walk away with a future job when you graduate or land a career opportunity right now.

6th grade students are building towers to learn about criteria and constraints. Little do they know, they were given different rubrics, one very vague and the other more detailed. They will all be judged on the same…. The detailed one. The PTA is having a Trunk or Treat CANDY WAR from October 1-17th. Classes will be competing against each other. Factory sealed bags of candy will be weighed each week. Michigan law requires schools to provide families with information about the importance of safe firearm storage. This notification is part of a statewide effort to promote student safety and comply with MCL 28.435 (Public Act 17 of 2023).

These images explain safe storage practices and provide guidance to help ensure firearms are secured properly, reducing the risk of accidental injury.

Volunteers are needed for the Boo Bash on October 24. We are looking for about 15 volunteers (parents or high school students) to help run the trunks and to run the games inside.
