Over the last few days several classes shopped for books to take home and read over the summer to avoid the "Summer Slide." As little as 20 minutes of reading a day will help maintain the reading skills they have worked so hard to achieve over the school year. Over two months of learning can be lost over a single summer and it's cumulative from year to year. Watch this video to learn more about the summer slide. https://youtu.be/Cqf-eKM5MOg?si=hiJMIdxmNtTMkHh0&t=15 #proudcardinal

Have you ever sent your child to school all set to learn only to have them come home missing a coat or shoes or water bottles? Do you know where that stuff ends up? In our lost and found. If your child is missing any clothing or school items it might be here. Please claim your items. Our lost and found will be available at all school events this week - awards ceremony tonight, K graduation Thursday and 6th grade graduation on Friday. Any items left after Friday will be donated. Thank you to our 5th grade volunteers who helped organize our lost and found! #proudcardinal
