Mrs. Bonesteel’s class decided to enjoy the weather and moved reader’s workshop outside today. They brought 2 books, pencils, and sticky notes. They shared their character’s point of views. It was a wonderful lesson!!!! #proudcardinal

Tomorrow, April 13, is a dress up day at the elementary school for April is Math Month. The theme is “wear a shirt with a mathematical symbol on it - π, +, x, numbers,” etc. #proudcardinal

Thank you to the 181 students who estimated the number of Skittles in a water bottle. There were 583 Skittles in it. Congratulations to 6th grader, Clayton Thorman, whose estimate was 586 and was the first place winner. Congratulations to Kindergartener, Grace Prusakiewicz, whose estimate was 600 and came in 2nd place. #proudcardinal


Kindergarten students are learning to read short vowel words. To help clear up any confusion with b/d letters, Mrs. White taught them how to use their “B Hand”. Using their left hand, they can make a lowercase letter /b/ and compare it to the letter they find in a word they are trying to read. If the letter looks like their “B Hand”, it’s a /b/. If not, it’s a /d/.
