OFFICE OF THE SUPERINTENDENT
As superintendent, it is my pleasure to serve a district where there is a rich history and tradition of excellence, continuous improvement, and high standards. These qualities are enthusiastically embraced by an efficient teaching staff, exemplary school leaders, and committed support staff. I am wholeheartedly committed and excited to have a role in continuing these strong traditions.
In our schools, we seek to meet the needs of all students and to fully prepare them for the challenges of an uncertain future and an increasingly diverse global economy. We also strive to provide our students with the skills to become lifelong learners, critical thinkers, caring citizens, and responsible members of our democratic society. Additionally, we endeavor to not only prepare our students for the academic rigor of college, but to empower them with the character, discipline, and skills they need to succeed in the professional workforce.
The quality of education for our young people is one of the most essential factors in America’s future. The concerted efforts of entire communities—students, parents, teachers, community leaders, business professionals, and educators—working together to create and sustain stimulating and challenging learning environments are what will provide our young people the skills to contribute and lead for generations to come. Our primary goal is to continuously pursue and develop educational programs of quality and excellence, while seeking help and support from the entire school community. As a result, we encourage your active involvement in curricular and extracurricular programs, services, and activities, and we welcome your feedback. It is our belief that with such a partnership, our district can prepare all of our students for lifelong learning and success.
Please accept my best wishes for a challenging, rewarding, and successful school year, and thank you for supporting the Dryden Community School District.
Warm regards,
Mrs. Mary Finnigan, Ed.S.
