POLICY REGARDING FOOD SERVICE ACCOUNTS-
Students that qualify for free or reduced will always be served a meal. Students with a negative balance may still purchase a lunch.
A peanut butter and jelly sandwich or meat sandwich with white milk will be offered and $0.75 will be charged to the student's food service account.
-Ala Carte food items are CASH ONLY (ranging in price from 75 cents to $1.00) or students MUST have funds on their Food Service Account. Charges are never allowed for Ala Carte items. Drink items range in cost from 50 cents to $2.00.
-A full lunch consists of 3 of the 5 items offered (though 5 items may be taken) main entree, fruit, vegetable, bread and milk
-Adults and Staff are encouraged to have funds on their Food Service Accounts or pay at point of service. No Charging is allowed.
-Adjustments will only be made by the Food Service Department.
-Dryden High School and Dryden Elementary students will have a low balance email or letter mailed if a student's Food Service Account goes in the negative. If parents have an email address on file, they will receive weekly emails notifying them when their student's account balance becomes low. Students at the Jr.Sr High School will be told by the cashier when their account balance is low.

Free and reduced lunch eligibility forms were included in your student’s registration packet. New this year, the form is also available on the Dryden Website and may be completed electronically instead of completing and returning the paper copy. If you believe you qualify , either fill out the paper copy completely and return to either school office, or complete electronically, by clicking on the on the Meal Magic Family Portal tab below to complete this process. You are also able to prepay under the same Parents tab by clicking on the Send Money to School link and completing all required information.

Breakfast is available every morning at both school buildings. A variety of tasty and nutritious foods is offered each day.

Adult $2.00 breakfast

National School lunch program new requirements for K-12 students are required to take 3 of 5 components (milk, protein, grain, vegetable, fruit) and one of the components must be a fruit or vegetable

  • A variety of fruits and vegetables are offered everyday with all meals

  • Vegetable choices may include :fresh baby carrots, celery sticks, broccoli, cauliflower and vegetable of the day

  • Fruit choices include fresh apples,pears, oranges, applesauce, orange or apple juice, and fruit of the day

  • Milk is offered with all meals: 1% lowfat white, fat free chocolate and strawberry
