This course is designed to present the various movements of yoga from beginning to intermediate. Exercises are done slowly with relaxed rhythmic breathing.  Students will learn that Yoga helps avoid strains and injuries by teaching how to efficiently use your body in exercise and daily activities. Nutrition and calorie awareness will be discussed. Students will learn how to develop a personal workout program. Assessment will be based on daily participation. Students have the opportunity to design and develop an appropriate personal fitness program that enables them to achieve a desired level of fitness. Ongoing assessment includes both written and performance-based skill evaluations.
