All About Mrs. Roys

I am looking forward to teaching your second grader. I have been teaching at Dryden Elementary since 2003.  In those years I have taught every grade except Kindergarten.

My Bachelor's degree is in Public Health Education and Health Promotion from Central Michigan University.  I worked for almost eight years at Chrysler planning health promotion programs for their employees.  In 2003, I earned my teaching certificate (Science major) from Saginaw Valley State University.   I also earned a Masters in the Art of Teaching from SVSU.

I am married and my husband, Craig, is a teacher also.  He teaches Physics at the Macomb Academy of Arts and Sciences (Armada district.)  We are members of St. Cornelius Church.  I am a lector and Eucharistic Minister at church.

In my free time I enjoy reading and playing with our two pets.  We have a mutt that looks like a miniature German Shepherd.  He acts like a puppy and has a ton of energy.  We also have an annoying cat, Vinnie.  Regarding reading, some of the authors I have enjoyed over the summer are Greg Iles, Vince Flynn, Michael Connelly, and Nelson DeMille.  If you have any author or book suggestions, I'd love to hear them!
